Volunteer Sign Up Process

How to Sign Up

  1. Visit our Volunteer Calendar, find out more about Leadership and Trainings, or check out our Social Events.
  2. You can scroll through the calendar in list view, or switch to the calendar view in the top right corner. Use the colored buttons and search terms at top to explore by restoration program area, county/region, difficulty, family-friendly events, and more. In calendar view, clicking on a date gives you a photo preview and short description for all events that day. Click on any event for more details including location, difficulty rating, minimum age requirements, and activities to be done.
  3. To register, click on an event, then click the “Sign Up” button in the top right corner.
  4. If you already have a log-in, enter your username and password to register. If you don’t have a log-in, create one to register.
  5. Fill out registration details including number of people you are bringing, dietary restrictions, etc.
  6. Once you submit your registration, you should receive a confirmation email.
  7. Five to seven days before your project, you will receive an email with project details including directions to the project site, more detailed information on the work we’ll be doing, a schedule for the day, and instructions regarding what to bring (water bottles, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc., or your own camping gear if overnight).

  10. We’ll send you a feedback survey a few days after your project. Fill out this survey to help us improve on projects in the future and to enter for a chance to win a $250 REI Gift Card at the end of the year.
